James and Katy's Pool Party
Two of our other grandchildren, James and Katy had another birthday this year.  Katy was almost a valentine ( Feb 12 ) which is a terrible time to have a pool party.  But James' is August so, we combined their pool party this August which is a great time to have a pool party.  Here are a few shots from that afternoon.

These are just family shots from weekends this summer here at the lake.  There are shots of family and friends.  Most of them were taken here and they include a family Sunday, Jordon's first Saturday Football game(not here at the lake) and Jordon's father Barry, coaching him for the big game in our front yard.  There are shots of our Granddaughter's bachelorette party, as well as the prep work for her wedding and rehearsal dinner.  There's one shot of my bride and I on a recent trip to New England  for another class reunion.

Below are a shot of our house, one of my favorite pictures of my wife climbing out of the pool, and some pictures from a trip to Sigrid's last high school class reunion including relatives who still live up there and their house.  They were taken two years ago.  Below them are some pictures we took when we attended this year's event in Meriden Ct.  There is one shot of the house where my wife grew up and one shot of the local "lover's lane".
Scotty had his first birthday as a member of our family in November here at Woods'Lake.
Father's Day, 2009
This year, father's day and my birthday were one and the same.  When I was growing up, my birthday was a source of great comfort to me, given the fact that it was the longest day of the year (still is) so when I was a kid, that meant I got to celebrate it longer.  Unfortunately when I got older, discovered girls, I came to realize it was also the shortest night of the year.  Funny how your perspective changes.  This year there were two more fathers here to help me celebrate the day, my sons in law, Barry and John.  This was also the day that my bride became a biker babe, thanks to my son in law Barry(I have film)  Oh well as long as she doesn't go out and get a tattoo!  The day was topped off when Kesey Kane won the race in a Dodge.    I thought you might enjoy seeing what was happening here while Kasey was driving to victory in California.

June 21,2009  The truth is, Fishing is always here at Woods' Lake.  About the only thing missing is you, even on Father's day.  But this is the day my wife decided she was going to ride a Motorcycle.  I am relieved to report that she survived the experience.

Below, Daughter TraceyTracery and Granddaughter Katy prepare the Madam for her experience, She seats herself behind the Chauffeur and AWAY THEY GO!

I don't know why it is, but since I've known her, my bride thrives on doing the unexpected.  Because I am absolutely crazy about my wife, I confess to being uneasy when I know she is out doing something conventional wisdom says she probably should pass on.  So, while she was gone, and because I have so much time in grade with her, after a while I began to ask Tracey if she was sure my bride would be ok?  Finally, here she came I breathed a sigh of relief and my wife chalked up another adventure.

Then it was Katy's turn.  After she left we all sat around and took a few pictures of the family.
To the right, more pictures from Father's day.  You can click on those pictures to see a larger version.

Here's hoping your father's day was as much fun as ours.
