Ok, we're starting with a clean piece of paper here.  Last year, we started a live bait shop with the hope that it would occupy the building it now occupies.  Enter Holly and John.  They now occupy the space I'd planned to use for the bait shop.  I decided it would be a nice gesture for my little girl if I arranged to take the minnows, worms and crickets OUT of her living room, what being mothers day and all.  So, Sigrid, John(my son in law and the one who cohabitates with my daughter, the minnows and the worms) and I went shopping.  To make along story short, this is what we found up in Martinsville.  We actually looked at  two different buildings, But one building had the doors in the side and would have made it difficult to place the building where we wanted it so we decided that the gray building would suit our purposes You'll see why in a minute.

Our First Summer  2010 Report.....
Chose one and had it moved to Woods' Lake and put it where we wanted it.  By the way, a special thanks to House of
Stars
in Madison for helping us move it. Those guys can place one of these buildings dead center on a dime.
I can't believe what an amazing job Scotty and John have done putting our new diggs together.
As you can see, WE ARE in the home stretch.  We finished the painting and trim and moved things in and finally entertained our first visitors.  The building will be a work in progress for perhaps the remainder of the summer.  But at least you can see what we have done with the slide show to the right. So from now on, you can dind us at our new home, which is right next door to our old one. All we really need to do is get the sgins done and finish up a little painting here and there then we'll be ready for you.
But I digress, Now that we had the building we had to have it wired to suit our needs, and put up walls, a more secure door and turn it into a place you wouldn't mind visiting.  My Grandson in law Scottie Rich and John have been turning what you see above into something much nicer.  Today we primed it and did the ceiling, tomorrow the walls get a coat of paint.  By Wednesday afternoon we hope to have the floor done and start to move the equipment into the building.  I'll probably update the pictures below tomorrow and try to keep updating them until we finally get the doors open on Friday.
And the $200 Winner is........
Our first fishin' Tournament is history here at Woods' Lake.  Our contratulations to Danny Shives who caught over 100 brim, crappie and catfish during the fourth of July weenend and won $200 for his efforts.  We at Woods' Lake want to thank everyone who participated.  We think everyone had a good time (at least, nobody hit me with a pie on their way home).
We did have some birthday cake over the weekend as my bride Sigrid celebrated another milestone in her life.  We thought you might enjoy seeing some pictures of the fun here at the lake over the fourth, including Sigrid's birthday, and the after tournament picnic.  Wish you'd been here.
Our new Digs

We hope everyone had as much fun over the July 4th holiday as we had here at Woods' Lake!
